No matter which class you choose, you'll learn fundamental performance techniques and hone your skills
in a creative and supportive environment led by experienced, passionate instructors.
All FALL 2019 classes will be held in the Brookings Arts Council at 524 4th St., Brookings, SD.
Improv for Young Performers
Grades 4-12 | $120 | Eight-week class
Mondays | 4:45-5:45 pm | Jan. 27-March 16
Have you always wanted to do improv? Join us to learn the basics of improvisational acting, improve creativity, and enhance self-confidence. Students will present what they’ve learned during the last 30 minutes of the final class.

Disney/Greek Tragedy
Mash-up
Grades 4 -12 | $10 | Ten-week class
Mondays | 3:45-4:45 pm | Jan. 27-March 30
This high-energy class introduces students to Greek theatre by taking a familiar Disney story and re-writing it as a Greek tragedy! We'll write the script, create the masks, and perform for friends and family on the last day of class. Students will learn fundamental theatre skills through a variety of games and exercises.

Private Acting Lessons & Individual Oral Interp Coaching
Grades 4 -12 | Packages of 4 Lessons:
4 x 30 minutes = $60
4 x 45 minutes = $90
4 x 60 minutes = $120
Private coaching/acting lessons are a great way for a student who has a passion for performing to work one-on-one with a theatre education professional. Lessons can focus on preparing for an audition, rehearsing for a specific performance, or simply growing as a performer. Students may bring their own material, or we can work on anything from contemporary musical theatre to Shakespeare.
